This place was great the first time i went in for a cut and shape up. The male owner was friendly and kind and so was his co-owner his wife. The second trip was absolutly horrible. I was in a line of 3 ppl one was in the chair gettin workd on and i was next and then another person behind me. They finished the hair of the person in the chair and then took the person behind me instead of me. I spoke up and said smthn and was told i cld leave if i wantd. So ....i did. Gave it one more try and they were much bettr...until i lookd to my left and caught the owner taking snapchat picts of me and laughing to himslef. The person that was with me also saw this happn. The person finished my hair and i left without tip this time. Its shameful to me that in 2016 we still have to put up with predigests and discriminatory ppl. There is one stylist or barber there that is Awesome. His name is German the G is silent so its pronounce yerr-man. He patted me on the shoulder and told me that he is there to serve the public and that he wld do my hair and he wld do it 100% bettr than anybody there. He did just that. Not only did he get a 30.00 tip i recieved a hot cut...shape up..and a new found friend. Thank u German for being a man of ur word and a compassionate human being. I went back to the shop for my next hair cut and German was gone. Dont no if he quit...got fired for being awesome and they r not... or went back to his home country. Where ever u r German...keep being u and NEVER go back to Anthony and Careys in Great Barrington Mass. They shld be shut down just on discrimination alone. I am now looking for a new barber shop. Boycott Anthonys and Careys Barber Shop. Especially if u r a person of color or a person who is gay, str8, or transgender. Shame on u Anthonys and Careys Barber Shop!!!!
I took my son in to get a haircut because several other good places were too busy or closed for vacation. What a mistake. I brought a picture of a ready nice haircut my son wanted and she said she'd make it just like the picture. It is NOTHING like the picture. The picture shows long layers and she cut it short and oddly round which is probably her standard cut from other reviews I'm reading. It took me so long to convince my son to get his long hair cut and she botched it. He hates it and I don't blame him. I could've done a better job. So disappointing. My husband said he went in there once and got a bad hair cut too and never went back. I wish I had known.
Frank was very friendly and gave me a good haircut.... The cut I asked to be given.
Hours say 10-730, there's a guy inside cutting hair. Sign says closed and he won't give me a haircut
