We love this place, and since first coming here 4 seasons ago, we make sure we make at least one long stay a season here.

The location and scenery are very good and plenty of activity for kids. Bathrooms were just ok -- could have been better maintained and cleaned more often. But biggest problem was the grouchy owner. He spends the whole day driving around the camp sites looking for people not following all the rules. Made everyone feel uncomfortable. And when you have to speak with him he's very gruff and unwelcoming. By the end of the trip we were calling him "Mr. Grumpy".

Love this place.

The campsites are nice, and they're dog-friendly. We really enjoy it every time we go, which is now twice each season for the holiday weekends.

The owners are wonderful ..and as far as Jim being rude and grumpy ? If you're not speeding through his park, disrespecting other campers, or being a jerk yourself ..he has no reason to harass you. He's a great guy, with a great sarcastic sense of humor. His wife and daughter are wonderful as well.

I'm looking forward to going back again on Labor Day!!

I came here with my niece & family for a night while they were camping. Scenery was great! The owners on the other hand were beyond rude! Nothing is maintained, bathroom and shower area is horrible and people brought their dogs into the restroom and never cleaned it up! Kids can't be kids here and apparently adults have bed times! Overall would never come back!

I've camped my entire life with camping clubs, family, friends, and work so I understand what is culturally appropriate camping and campground vibe.

Don't waste your time supporting these owners. You'll most likely lose any peace and tranquility you might be looking for near such a gen of a lake.

I first camped here about 4 years ago with my boyfriend's family. We've had many great experiences over these past few years. Some people say Jim can be "grumpy" but he's just trying to make sure everyone is safe. I can imagine it can be stressful to make sure everyone is taken care of everyday.

Yep, Mr Grumpy hawked and unhospitably corrected 4 "camp rules" I was breaking in a 24hr period unbeknownst to me and gave me the "I'm going to have the police escort you out" bit bc I hung a hammock up at the beach and parked in the empty picnic area by after we checked out of our site. He expected me to go park in the field in the back of the campground with my 3 young children in tow. I also paddled into the "reserved" dock after launching from the public boat launch to stop in the office to pay for my site and he practically came running down the hill saying I can't park there and may confuse any guests renting boats. This was Sun night with nobody around.
